This image suggests that the epidemic of homelessness and starvation is curable if people quit wasting all the food they throw away and instead give the excess to shelters.

Don't Drink and Drive Thesis
This advertisement is directed towards the foolish people who decide that it is a good idea to drive home after drinking one too many. It creatively shows the possibility of a crash through the use of bottle caps with cars on them in order to draw in attention of those who thought the advertisement was a beer advertisement.
Vitae Shelters Thesis
This advertisement by Vitae Shelters calls everyone out on the amount of wasted food we have that can go to homeless people who don't have the luxuries we do. In showing a homeless man's image on the inside of the trashcan followed by the word "Help" it really guilts us into wasting less food and giving our excess to those who truly need it.
Oxygo Gym thesis
This advertisement is directed towards the overweight people in America by showing them a comical side of their obesity as well as motivating them to get to the gym. This advertisement pulls at the emotional strings of overweight people by poking fun at them through the text "Long Time, No See?" and making them realize that change is possible.

First Blog Post- Everyday observations
Every morning when you wake up you encounter so many images and videos and other things that try and persuade us to do one thing or another. If you are anything like me you walk through life and don’t even notice these attempts until someone points them out to you. Now that I think about it there are so many different influences in my life from just the time I wake up to the time I get to my first class, so I am going to tell you about them.
10 o’clock Monday morning rolls around after a short, yet exhausting weekend. My alarm on my iPhone comes on and I’m still in a haze so all I see is the silver apple on the back of it along with the distinct square-ish form of the phone. I hear the annoying sound and immediately click the snooze button so that I can get the precious 15-30 minutes extra of sleep. After hitting the snooze button two more times I finally get up 30 minutes later and the first two things I see are my Biggie Smalls poster and my Australian flag. Usually I wouldn’t think anything of them, but I see them this particular morning and try to figure out what they are trying to sell me on. The Biggie poster clearly is trying to sell me on the type of music I should listen to, while the Aussie flag is just reminding me of my heritage. I brush my teeth, and get ready to go to my first class. I head to the bathroom right before my first class and what do you know there is the bathroom newspaper called the “Toilet Paper.” It is trying to have us sign up to many different organizations and get involved around campus. Finally while walking to class I see the big orange paw prints. Usually I wouldn’t think anything of them except for the fact that they were for design, but now I realize that they are there to remind us of our school spirit as well.
Anywhere that we go in this world there will always be people, objects, pictures and even building that are trying to persuade us about something. These things can do their best to try and persuade us, but ultimately it is our decision on what we want to believe and be persuaded on.
